This is a permanent full-time, NOT contract, family-status assignment base in the beautiful city of Brisbane, Australia (1MM+ population) located in the State of Queensland near the "Gold Coast" coastal resort area (similar to a combination of Miami, Florida and Las Vegas).

Ensure job plans are maintained in the CMMS in a way that they can be located and used

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises three to five employees in the Planning and Scheduling Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. The Corp. is seeking an engineering specialist with extensive experience in petrochemical processes, to serve as the company technical authority in the challenging areas of full conversion refinery integrated with petrochemicals related processes and construction of new petrochemicals complexes. The candidate must hold a degree in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience in the design and operation of petrochemicals facilities, and in the latest technologies in production of primary refinery derived petrochemicals feed stocks (Ethylene, Propylene and/or Aromatics). Experience:

12 years of continuing progressive engineering experience with 9 years, preferable in the oil industry or similar process industry, such that the incumbent is clearly recognized as an expert in the field. In addition, the candidate should have extensive experience in energy conservation, boiler efficiency improvements, and development of kinetic models related to energy systems. Strong analytical ability in problem solving, solid background in managing projects, experienced in preparing and publishing technical articles, and work experience with a multi-national workforce.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Initiates or conducts special studies for improving facilities or operation. 2. Provides special technical service in recognized engineering fields. 3. Acts as consultant on complex engineering problems. 4. Designs constructs, and commissions new facilities. 5. Coordinates or directs work of other engineers. 6. Provides technical service to company process units and oil handling facilities. 7. Coordinates engineering work to solve major problems crude oil processing facilities. 8. Reviews capital budget items for technical quality. 9. Provide day-to-day support in solving problems related to oil processing facilities, investigate equipment/systems trips, and provide recommendations. 10. Review in-house design packages.
Finally, incumbents may be rotating between various operation, maintenance, and engineering support staff in the plants.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: BS Engineering. Registered Professional Engineer.
Experience: 20 years. Ten to fifteen yeas of experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery projects or facilities. Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in design, construction and operations of oil and gas, refining and petrochemical facilities. A minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in oil and gas industry. Familiar with estimating tools (preferably Aspen Tech KBase or Icarus), Benchmarking, Market Outlook, etc.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides overall capabilities to prepare detailed estimate for multi million dollar oil and gas projects. Ability to develop MTO’s, and or verify MTO & material, equipment and bulk quantities against P&IDs and drawings. Prepare multi-discipline conceptual, detailed and definitive cost estimates for Saudi Aramco Capital Projects. Prepare or re3view estimates to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with the scope of work. Ability to interface with multi organizations to review and discuss project scope and estimate basis. Consults on Company estimating methods/procedures and, when necessary, provides estimate breakdown. Provide technical capabilities in review of design packages and drawings. Familiar with industry standards for oil and gas facilities. Ability to develop and analyze engineering and construction man-hours for oil and gas projects. Familiar with equipment and material requirements for hydrocarbon facilities.
