meeting customer requirements and communicating with transportation vendors.

Optimize JDE segment related to Transportation so data is accurate and
usable. Eliminate any duplicate activities being used as a workaround because
of JDE issues. Must be capable of
working across the organization to bring more efficiency to the
transportation services and increase overall product margins. Provide superior
service to transportation's customers (internal and external) and minimize
issues related to transportation.
Manage the overall Transportation Compliance Program as it relates to
the DOT and FRA. Must manage the Corporate Transportation Department consisting
of approximately 8 employees and manage the site transportation objectives
which report to the Plant Managers. Develop contingencies for times when
contract carriers are not available. Implement as necessary to achieve target
customer service requirements. Utilize efficiency tools (ex. six sigma) to
increase process efficiency and eliminate non value added processes and
costs. Identify and implement BIC
transportation practices. Develop
departmental talent to achieve higher productivity and efficiency

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on capital project estimating experience for projects in the chemical, petrochemical or refining industry. Also strong leadership experience is required. Ability to travel domestically as high as 50% at times, average travel will be in the 20-30% range.
As the Estimating Manager, you will drive innovation, benchmarking and best practices across multiple sites. We will look to you to leverage external/industry knowledge and experience to develop and deploy an internal framework of solid estimating practices/capabilities to be consistently used in all of company's capital projects. As a leader, you will assist in the selection and mentoring of Estimators, lead knowledge sharing across the company, and effectively drive estimating improvements.
