JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Lead the financial analysis of specific development and acquisition opportunities. The Power Distribution Engineer plans and coordinates the work activities of the power distribution and maintenance crews engaged in the operations, maintenance and construction of the Freeport, TX site electrical power transmission, distribution, and generations systems. The successful candidate will be expected to assure compliance, review necessary information, schedule necessary tests and provide reports to ERCOT, NODAL, TRE and NERC in timely manner. Directly responsible for the Power Distribution's SCADA system. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

· Assists Power Distribution Manager and evaluate the work performance of crews; provides training and oversees the work of contractors. 

· Reviews, coordinates, and assists activities involving switching, maintenance and operation of the electrical power system. 

· Inspects field work to ensure conformance with plans and specifications; maintains proper and safe working environment. 

· Reviews power distribution operating procedures, maintenance records and schedules, and database. 

· Identifies and recommends changes in existing power distribution system and suggests changes in plans to meet operational or department requirements and regulations.

Global Procurement Director

Based in the corporate office of this global independent power producer, the Global Procurement Director is responsible for the review, refinement, development and implementation of a fit for purpose global procurement organization and supporting framework.  Reporting to the VP of Global Operations, the Global Procurement Director will also be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and overseeing the work of the Procurement Group staff and other stakeholders in a matrix environment.  The role will also interface with Corporate and Regional commercial managers responsible for commercial oversight of key operations and engineering contracts.

 

We are looking for someone with at least 10 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a power generation, heavy industrial environment or manufacturing. A good understanding of the global electricity markets is important. The successful candidate is expected to have a strong track record of major contract negotiations. A high level of knowledge about gas turbines and procurement practice is an advantage.  Working knowledge of EAM, CMMS or ERP systems is preferred. A BS in business or engineering is preferred. CPM certification is a plus.

This is a high profile executive level position responsible for leading the development and execution of an enterprise wide strategic planning framework for this mid-sized power generation firm. 

 

The successful candidate will fill an important role contributing to decision support, analysis, strategic and regulatory change planning on a portfolio of international energy projects. The successful candidate will be expected to support the development of our portfolio trading strategy, liaising with Shareholders, Senior Management and Regional GMs and relevant functional leads. 

 

Reporting to the COO, the role will include coordination of enterprise and regional strategies and associated trading plans with the aim of optimizing the company portfolio value. A key feature will be corporate level communications and agreement with recommendations on both specific and over-arching trading decisions. The role also allows for the development of actions to help meeting the company’s strategic objectives.  The role requires experience and knowledge of our assets and associated markets.  The candidate will optimize financial returns within a risk appropriate framework given the company structure and appetite.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Trading Strategy Coordination: Develop and maintain portfolio level trading targets designed to provide a framework for superior decision making.  Work with the regions to provide recommendations contributing to, and optimizing the overarching strategy.  Work with the COO and regional teams to set and revise as required three year portfolio and regional trading targets.  Set and track KPIs, providing analysis on performance. Communication/Market Knowledge:  Prepare and participate in the development of market updates, regulatory change summaries and stakeholder training. Forecast Coordination:  Work with the regional leads to ensure credible and consistent commodity price curves and dispatch assumptions are applied to forecasts.  Act as the corporate representative for all third party forecast production, performing due diligence and ensuring consistency between regions where appropriate.  Responsible for providing analysis to stakeholders on the underlying drivers of the forecast and understanding impact of any changes.  Coordinate the implementation and take ownership of a consistently applied LRMC (or other) long term forecast, including the establishment of discount rate criteria (CAPM model or other).

Education: Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Finance. MBA or Masters in Finance, a CFA accreditation or an Engineering degree is a plus, but not required.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the key purpose of the Health, Safety, Security and Environmental / Quality Supervisor (HSSE) will act as coordinator, supervisor, educator, planner and evaluator of the health, safety, security and environmental / Quality programs. The employee will assist the plant manager to ensure plant compliance on applicable health, safety and environmental regulations, standards and requirements. Client is looking for a high performing Field Service Engineer with expertise in fluidized bed boilers for a direct hire opportunity in Texas. This engineer will be a subject matter expert on operations and maintenance for biomass power plant operations. We seek an excellent communicator who enjoys mentoring and training O&M staff. Sr. Field Service Engineer - Biomass Power Plant - he Client:  A global leader in diverse engineering services.  Benefits include comprehensive healthcare, 401(k), pension and bonus plan.

Position Details: Provide first-level on-site technical support for bubbling fluidized bed power plant operations. Perform classroom & field training - Basic and refresher DCS Simulator training and operator re-certification.  Support process performance and maintenance monitoring services.  Support spare parts services, outage services, and emergency response services.  Update operating & maintenance manual.  Develop operating & maintenance procedures.  Responsible for data monitoring, fuel & ash sampling, mechanical tuning.  System audits, troubleshooting & RCFA, technical support.  Inventory assessment and maintenance, parts repair tracking, updating documentation, etc.  Outage planning assistance, including outage readiness report. . NDT mapping.  Outage inspections & reporting, auxiliaries inspections & reporting.  Coordinating metallurgical sampling and analysis, etc.  Chemical cleaning planning & coordination.  Equipment inspections, troubleshooting, operational or maintenance issues, etc.

Experience Profile:  4+ years experience supporting fluidized bed boilers (FBB).  Circulating fluidized bed (CFB) and/or bubbling fluidized bed (BFB) boilers.  Expertise in power generation - utility and industrial plants.  Expertise in operation and maintenance of a fluidized bed boilers.  Maintenance management, planning, and execution.  Plant operation and maintenance management.  Extensive experience conducting training.  Experience performing and documenting inspections.  Experience developing and supporting outage readiness reports.  Troubleshooting, technical cause analysis (TCA), and root cause analysis (RCA).  Experience conducting condition assessments and tune-ups.  Good technical report writing skills.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other applicable software.  Ability to travel up to 10% as required.  Stable record of direct employment.

Helpful/Preferred:  BS degree in an engineering or technical subject.  CMMS MP2 experience.  Mechanical tuning, boiler efficiency optimizer tuning, system audits.  Asset Management data analysis, alarm data analysis, vibration data analysis.  NDT mapping data analysis.  Exposure to AutoCAD, Mathcad, Caesar II, STAAD or related.
