opportunity for BSEE with 10 plus years who might want to manage a
group. Several disciplines are also available in house to support
projects and business development. Client possess existing client base
of utilities and wind farm developers, these clients and in-house
capabilities provide great opportunity for T&D business
development. The candidate will be responsible for finding and managing
clients as well as providing leadership, direction and design to a growing
T& D department. The
position will have an emphasis on substation and transmission line design on
power delivery projects, ranging from design and design & build.
Client interaction, energy software
tool development, spec and proposal preparation, assistance with management
of procurement contracts, develop and maintain department design guides. BSEE/
or related field/ 10 years related experience. Familiarity with NESC
standards, and RUS standards, and IEEE standards. Experience with
transmission line software such as, PLS-CADD and transmission structure
design software such as TOWER. Transmission line design (to 345kVpreferred).
The ideal candidate will have strong technical and supervisory skills with a

Energy Sourcing Manager $100000 - $130000 Chicago, IL (or in the Northwest
Indiana) Global
Fortune 500 company that supplies industrial chemicals, high-performance
coatings, and related services and technologies seeking a Senior Sourcing
Manager for our Energy group located in either Chicago, IL or in the
Northwest Indiana area. Responsibilities include: Source
electricity for company's operating plants in Midwest region consisting of 7
states and a dozen plants. Spend under management exceeds $100 Million
annually. Develop and expand relationships with existing and future
electricity suppliers. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive
electricity sourcing and cost optimization strategies for each plant.
Develop, negotiate, and execute least-cost electric power supply contracts
with suppliers, working closely with internal Operations, Planning, Business,
Economic Development & Legal groups. Contract portfolio is a mix of firm
& interruptible power, defined and dynamic pricing, tariffs, special
contracts, etc. The objective is to provide company with a long-term
competitive advantage. Negotiate with suppliers to minimize costs associated
with a typical and occasional operating conditions (i.e., operating at
unusual demand levels, running through interruptions, "running in"
plants during re-starts, startups, etc.) Provide monthly and annual
electricity cost forecasts for each plant. Maintain longer term cost
forecasts and develop shorter term (hourly, daily, weekly) cost forecasts as
needed by our Operations and Planning groups. Provide prompt response to
Sales/Business inquiries regarding energy (electric power and natural gas)
issues in support of their development and implementation of customer contracts.
Lead and achieve resolution of any power supply reliability issues when
escalated from Operations. Facilitate problem-solving meetings with
supplier(s) and obtain resources, testing/diagnostics, investment, upgrades,
etc. from supplier(s) as appropriate Participate in appropriate Industrial
Energy User Groups in order to represent company's interests in supplier rate
case interventions and other important energy matters. Provide regional input
to Government Relations group. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of each state
& regional power market, including suppliers' financial performance,
company's load as a percent of suppliers' capacity, market pricing for
various classes of customers, company's comparative load desirability,
suppliers' fuel mix (current and projected), and suppliers' generation,
transmission and distribution investment plans. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree,
MBA a plus 10+ years of related experience in energy procurement - ideal is
electricity 5+ years strong negotiation experience, managing annual budget of
$25 mil or more Strong relationship management skills and cross functional
