Reporting to the VP, Operations & Engineering, you will manage the engineering, EPC Contracting, and preliminary EPC activities during project development phases.  The Project Development Engineering Manager supports the development team by providing all relevant technical and commercial input required to develop projects, submit bids and achieve financial close on assigned projects. This position will be assigned to specific development or acquisition opportunities and will receive functional guidance from VP, Operations & Engineering. You will be responsible for the Supervision of outside consultants and the selected Engineering firm acting as Owners Engineer.

 

Primary Areas of Focus: Project Development Support; Conceptual Definition/Equipment Selection/NPV Analysis

Pro forma Inputs; Scope Book/Contract Development; EPC Contract Negotiations; Construction Execution Support.

 

Major Responsibilities: Determine scope of supply requirements for EPC contracts. Manages and provides technical/pricing data for screening of early stage project development. Works in Development teams to oversee technical issues, including the creation of winning strategies for competitive bidding and the preparation of the technical portion of proposals.  Manages Owners Engineer and other third parties completing engineering studies under technical service agreeents during screening, full scale development, and project financing process. 

Responsible for budget and schedule for engineering deliverables including the Scope Book and related Project Contracts. Insures that EPC contracts are properly aligned with the PPA, FSA and other relavent project documents at both the bid stage and after the award of a mandate. Negoitates EPC contract terms and conditions.  Negoitates technical issues, including scope of supply and equipment performance, with clients and the EPC contractor.Supports corporate initiatives related to Operations and Engineering function including issues related to clients, contractors, vendors, technology, procedures, and standards. Supports the environmental impact assessment and the public consoltation processes on assigned projects. Supports the Lenders due dilagence process, managing and supporting the efforts of the Lenders Engineers and providing technical input to Lenders in support of Financial Close Supports unplanned, unforeseen special initiatives or requirements as needed.  Sources data, identifies and develops viable options.  Perform other tasks as directed by the VP, Operations & Engineering as needed to support plant operations and corporate growth initiatives.

 

Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required.  Ten to fifteen years experience in the “power industry” and IPP industry, with experience in both the technical and commercial aspects of executing lump sum, turnkey, power plant projects.  This experience can be gained through working with OEM's, EPC contractors, and/or other Owner/Operators. Knowledge of fossil fired power plant technology including Gas Turbine and Combined Cycle Power Plants including Engineering, design construction and start-up processes and procedures. Knowledge of EPC contract terms and conditions and experience with the negotiation of EPC contracts, contract change orders and dispute resolution experience.  Knowledge of cost estimating methods for major equipment associated with power plants and complete turnkey power plants. The Discipline Field Engineer-TL&C is the primary oversight authority regarding the transmission line additions and substation modifications designs. Project Engineer

The Project Engineer is the main technical interface between ESLP, the Owners Engineer and the EPC Contractor.  The Project Engineer is responsible for technical oversight of the Plant site assigned discipline engineers, other directly managed contractors and for coordination of all construction activities. As the project approaches completion the Project Engineer will manage the handover activities with special attention to completion of an O&M manual and identifying and closing Punch-list items. Supervision Received:  This position reports to the Construction Project Manager-Mexico.  Supervision Exercised:  Manages site discipline engineers. The HSE manager is responsible in part for the following: Develops and supervises the implementation of the Project HS&E Execution on the project. Monitors work practices utilized by ACS, EPC Contractor and/or other contractors/subcontractors to ascertain compliance with the project HS&E Execution Plan and applicable governmental regulations. Confer with supervisors on HS&E matters to ensure that work plans and procedures are in conformance with ESLP, EPC and governmental requirements. Stops work in imminent danger situations or conditions having imminent adverse environmental impact. Recommends corrective action, and advises supervisors and responsible management of actions taken.    Recommend acceptable work practices and ensures implementation.  Conducts project HS&E training for project personnel.  Analyzes occupational safety and health hazards and develops methods of control. This is currently seeking an experienced individual for a position in the nuclear analysis group in Marlton. The position requires a highly-motivated individual with the flexibility and willingness to work on a wide array of technical and regulatory topics. The nuclear analysis group currently consists of about 10 individual in 3 different locations. The new position would take a leading role in the technical coordination of the work of the entire nuclear group, and would report to the technical lead for the nuclear group / Vice President of Engineering. In this position, the time would be split between technical coordination of the work of the other members of the group and direct technical work.

 

Responsibilities in the area of work coordination and/or technical work will include:

· Criticality and shielding analyses of spent fuel storage pools and dry cask storage systems

· Preparation and maintenance of criticality and shielding chapters of Licensing Documents

· Active involvement in product development for wet and dry fuel storage and transport solutions

· Marketing support (technical proposal sections, meetings with potential clients)

· Coordination of training for the nuclear staff

· Responses to RAIs from US and international regulators

· Report preparation and report reviews

· Computer code validations

· Participation in meetings with clients and with the United State Nuclear Regulatory Commission

· Participation in industry groups and meetings

 

The ideal applicant would meet the following requirements:

· Degree in nuclear engineering with emphasis on reactor physics or radiation transport analysis.

· 10 years of experience in the nuclear industry, preferably related to spent fuel and/or dry cask storage.

· Experience with computer codes such as MCNP, KENO, SCALE and/or CASMO, preferably in modeling fuel assemblies or other geometries with similar complexity.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficiency required in Microsoft Office suite of PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Experience preparing licensing documents for submittal to NRC.

Sr. Nuclear Analyst

Client is currently seeking an experienced individual for a position in the nuclear analysis group in Marlton. This position requires a highly-motivated individual with the flexibility and willingness to work on a wide array of technical and regulatory topics. The nuclear analysis group currently consists of about 10 individual in 3 different locations. The new position would take a leading role in the technical coordination of the work of the entire nuclear group, and would report to the technical lead for the nuclear group / Vice President of Engineering. In this position, the time would be split between technical coordination of the work of the other members of the group and direct technical work.

Responsibilities in the area of work coordination and/or technical work will include:
· Criticality and shielding analyses of spent fuel storage pools and dry cask storage systems
· Preparation and maintenance of criticality and shielding chapters of Licensing Documents
· Active involvement in product development for wet and dry fuel storage and transport solutions
· Marketing support (technical proposal sections, meetings with potential clients)
· Coordination of training for the nuclear staff
· Responses to RAIs from US and international regulators
· Report preparation and report reviews
· Computer code validations
· Participation in meetings with clients and with the United State Nuclear Regulatory Commission
· Participation in industry groups and meetings

The ideal applicant would meet the following requirements:
· Degree in nuclear engineering with emphasis on reactor physics or radiation transport analysis.
· 10 years of experience in the nuclear industry, preferably related to spent fuel and/or dry cask storage.
· Experience with computer codes such as MCNP, KENO, SCALE and/or CASMO, preferably in modeling fuel assemblies or other geometries with similar complexity.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency required in Microsoft Office suite of PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Experience preparing licensing documents for submittal to NRC.

Based in Seoul, you will be a key executive with overall responsibility for planning, executing and finalizing the Company’s major large scale capital project operations. Primary Tasks and Responsibilities: Executing/supporting power plant projects: Responsible for the overall execution of the project. Establish project objectives and the overall project execution plan, budget and schedule for review and approval by management and the client with assistance from the team and the functional departments. Monitor project scope and provide overall project direction to all members of the project team. Receive, check and authorize various reports submitted on progress, costs, manpower, resources, and etc. Responsible for organizing and directing all project members to fully meet project specifications and schedules. Manage project works, including change & claim, scope, schedule, cost & cash flow, EPC coordination, human resource, communication, risk, and Q-HSE control. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and more than 20 years of experience in project management of international power plant projects. Top-tier international Power company career preferred. Extensive experience in executing Thermal power plant projects. (i.e., Fossil fuel fired type, Combined /Simple Cycle Power Plant, Co-Generation etc.) and experience leading personnel (e.g. Project Manager) in power plant projects of more than $300 Mil. USD.

 

Experience in holding a leading role in mega scale power plant projects:

 
- More than 2.0 billion/1800MW of CCPP execution experience or
- More than 2.0 billion/1200MW of Fossil fuel fired power plant (coal/gas/conventional type) execution experience.

 

Extensive work experience in risk management cost controlling, schedule management, contract/claim, Q-HSE controlling, engineering coordination etc. Broad Understanding of overall power business value chain (EPC/IPP/Utilities). Competence in negotiation skill, presentation skill. Sound knowledge of capital project management, bidding strategies, contract management, international operations, risk management, contractor performance review process. Commercial negotiating skills. Ability to work successfully with other disciplines, management, contractors and vendors in a functional support and team role. In depth knowledge of global service providers and manufacturers that support the engineering and construction industry and the clients of the company.

Technical and field experience including logistics and HS&E issues. Strong financial analysis capabilities including balance sheet analysis and comparative decision analysis. Effective interpersonal and communications skills, particularly the ability to communicate technical expertise and lead multi-discipline teams.
