Regional EHS Manager

$85,000 - $90,000

South Bend, IN

Position is with an international manufacturer that has been in business for almost 90 years, with plants all over the world. This person will have EHS responsibility for three plants with combined employment of approximately 300 people. This person will be located in a facility on the outskirts of South Bend, IN. The other two plants are in OH and TN, so some travel to these two sites will be required. This role reports directly to the Corporate Safety Manager, who is a great guy to work with and a person we have worked with for many years. Safety comprises about 80% of the role and environmental makes up 20%. There is a dotted line relationship to the Corporate Environmental Manager. The preferred candidate will have had multi-plant responsibility, although this is not a hard and fast requirement. This person will be responsible for integrating newly acquired companies into the established corporate safety and environmental system. Acquisition experience would be extremely helpful. Short of that it would be helpful to have had experience writing/developing/putting safety systems in place for a company or companies whose safety systems were clearly lacking. This person will communicate and coordinate EHS activities with other regions to share best practices and leverage resources for common initiatives. A four-year degree is required, along with 10+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. Must possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft software.  Send resume to kathleen@iscworld.com.
