The EHS Specialist will have responsibilities for all EHS functions at this plant and will direct an Intern or Technician at another plant about 1 hour away. A BS degree from an accredited university in an Environmental, Health, Safety or similar field is required, along with at least 2 years of EHS experience in a busy manufacturing environment. The EHS Specialist will need a thorough knowledge of relevant OSHA, EPA, DOT and NFPA regulations and practices. He or she will also lead training, audits, incident investigations and effluent monitoring. Knowledge and permitting experience is needed in environmental, safety and health areas.
