This is a VPP Star facility and VPP experience is very much preferred. Company is not prone to consider people who have held bigger positions in the past but are willing to step down in either money or responsibility. People with southern or southeastern ties are preferred. Will live in a city of 50,000-60,000 people, excellent schools, moderate cost of living, and excellent quality of life. This is a rural and harsh winter climate location and client wants someone who wants this kind of an environment and lifestyle. Harsh winters, but great summers, with lots of good hunting and fishing.  Housing is adequate; as are schools, but have to travel an hour or so for top medical facilities.  Good group of employees to work with, interesting work.

 

You will be responsible for all aspects of compliance with OSHA 1910.119 Process Safety Management (PSM) standard.   Strong background in the Mechanical Integrity element of PSM is needed. Responsible for staying abreast with PSM regulatory and industry trends in all aspects of PSM compliance, implementation, and performance. Tracks and drives PSM-related corrective actions to completion.  Provides status reports to the organization and ensures understanding of required actions such as timely completion of audit and PHA recommendations.  Drive compliance with the Compliance Audit element of PSM.  These duties include:

Determination of the standards that the facility should follow.
 
Ensuring that all PSM elements are being complied with and implementing action plans for areas found in non-compliance.

Will be responsible for the overall management and direction of EH&S within Americas region.  Will be instrumental in identifying, communicating and working closely with the regional supply chain management team and establish strategies while ensuring the requirements set forth in the global standards and local regulatory requirements are met.  Principal Activities include:
Identify regional ESH issues that are essential for full compliance and conform to existing and planned business development. Establish and lead the EHS group to identify and address common issues to all regional facilities ensuring a standard approach to the implementation of corrective measures. Actively take a lead role for the development of local EHS personnel to ensure an appropriate level of knowledge and skills to deliver EHS objectives and business value. On an annual basis work with factories and the engineering groups to establish accurate regional budgets for compliance with directives, laws and regulations, corporate standards and other EHS needs. Work with regional and factory management to develop EHS action plans on an annual basis in order to anticipate estimated expenditure and to allow adequate resources to be allocated to enable completion of established EHS objectives. Act as local insurance/risk management liaison between corp risk management, regional and factory management to ensure that the company's best interests are represented during audits, inspections and follow up visits. Ensure that all company EHS standards, guidelines, training materials etc. meet regulatory and company standards and are adequately developed to minimize liability.  When necessary, develop new EHS standards, guidelines or other such materials as applicable. J) Interact with Quality Assurance for quality issues, strictly ensure compliance with Company’s ISO Quality procedures. Coordinate Internal and Client audit requests, facilitate audit procedures of engineering systems within the department.
K) Interface and provide clarification and guidance and technical support to construction sites and commissioning engineers.
L) Participate in employee performance evaluations, establish performance criteria, identify employee strengths and weaknesses, recommend training and development requirements.
M) Perform related duties as and when directed by Direct Supervisor.

Leads the activities in converting the project from concept to detailed engineering. Works within Project Budget requirements. Serves as the tie-in in the department team for inter-discipline engineering concerned with the project. Accountable for overall discipline related activities for the successful completion of project within allotted schedule, manpower and costs.

9. Minimum Requirement
Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferably Chemical Engineering with a minimum 18 years of related petrochemical experience preferable from a background in working for consultancy organizations in the EPC of the Oil and Gas Industry. Click Here to Apply
