Our client is a major E&C firm with many years of experience in the design and construction of commercial nuclear power plants and a global growing backlog of significant projects. In this position you will provide technical and administrative management over the cost control engineers, planning engineers and scheduling engineers.  You will also ensure that all cost and scheduling policies and procedures are implemented with the uniformity and consistency across all Divisions. You will provide managerial and functional control over all Project Controls staff, both in the home office and field locations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES: 

Oversees the functional, financial and marketing support to assigned Division Manager(s).

Makes assignments of personnel for Project Controls tasks and projects.

Leads the development and implementation of systems, procedures and training programs for Project Controls.

Interfaces with Senior Management and Division Managers to resolve any significant systematic issues or concerns impacting Project Controls on projects within the Company.

Provides guidance and direction to all project Controls personnel in the development of their professional potential.

Must have the ability to work in cross-functional team environment. Experience on localization of costs to international locations is a plus. Experience at conceptual estimating is also a plus. You must know how to generate an estimate through final cost (all materials, fabrication, subcontracts, construction, localization and associated construction indirects). Prior experience required on refinery or chemical, LNG, or other downstream facilities for the oil & gas industry. Senior / Principal Estimator (Ongoing Needs)

London, UK                                  

US $100K - $120K Base (possibly higher)

 

The London office or this major American E&C firm needs senior level estimators preferably from the UK, but they will also strongly consider hiring Canadian and American citizens too. You will be responsible for all aspects if Estimating for refinery, LNG and other Oil & gas projects including:

 

The preparation of all types of TIC estimates from Conceptual to Lump Sum. The preparation of proposals for engineering and construction management services. Involvement with international projects from FEED to EPC. To ensure that estimating is carried out in accordance with company procedures. To continuously monitor the performance of his/her team. To assist in the development of the estimating team and to bring to the attention of the General Manager of Estimating any inadequacies in the group’s capability for present or future projects. Assist in the development and training of subordinates.

 

Must have a degree from an accredited university/college.
